In a recent post we discussed how learning games can lead to innovation by helping people conquer fear of humiliation or failure. A good game provides opportunities to interact, test out thinking and poke the universe with our cleverness and creativity. Of course we all want to win, but well-designed learning games also provide opportunities to fail.
Failing is important because one of the conditions for failure is vulnerability, which happens to be the #1 ingredient for innovation, according to researcher and author Brené Brown. Her TED talk on the subject has stirred up a lot of attention over the last few months. What does it stir up for you?
